BLIA tells an AI assistant what a Canadian bank published about a chequing account: the monthly fee, the rule that waives it, welcome offers with their conditions, and standing benefits. Each answer carries an effective date and the date of the data it came from, so the assistant can say how current it is.
Today BLIA covers chequing accounts at BMO, Scotiabank, CIBC, TD and RBC. Savings, credit cards, GICs and mortgages are not covered, and every response says what is outside its scope. When a bank has not published a value, BLIA returns it as unknown, never as zero and never as "no fee".
Five read-only tools: list_bank_products finds accounts, get_product_terms returns one account's published terms and its fee-waiver rule, compare_products compares fees across accounts, list_offers returns welcome offers with their conditions, and list_benefits returns the standing perks of holding an account.
BLIA states the conditions of a fee waiver and never applies a waiver to a customer's balances. The server is anonymous: no account, no key, and no personal data goes in. It is rate limited by caller IP. Free-tier answers return published values with dates; they do not carry independent verification.
